So, we are not aiming for visualizing whether or not a pull would create new heads? And how many? Only if that is the case, and a merge would require interactive resolve? What if a pull would create two or more heads?
I’d love to have this, but this is not a small feat:
- Somebody would need to make a view for this and do some 2D Eclipse hacking to visualize this. This could probably be reused with merge and graphical log. Or the other way round – as soon as Jérôme has succeeded in doing a visualization comparable to the git history view, this could be used. The shown sync info could include an action like “Show Heads after pull”
